Why is it So Hard to Make $100K a Year?

So why is it so hard to make $100 a year? Well first off if you go by societies standards, then its hard to do anything. Realistically it takes alot to make money these days. In previous decades you did not have to do much in order to make a lot of money other than shear will power, a little money to invest into a business or knowing the right people.

Here is a thought to chew on for a second. Have you ever heard people say, “I am worth more than this job pays me, I am worth at least twice as much.” Well you’re not unfortunately, and I even found that out the hard way myself. If you are working an $8 an hour job then that is what your worth. You have to put in the time and get the experience to make the kind of money you want. Now if you do not put the time in to get the experience, its time to take your money and either buy a lot of lottery tickets and pray, or start your own business. My guess would be you have a better chance with the business then the lottery.

Knowing the right people is still very much in effect today. You have undoubtedly heard the expression ” Its not what you know, its who you know ” and this is still very true. Many people have gotten jobs or careers or into businesses because of who they know, and in doing so most have panned out well for themselves. To go along with this, many jobs are inside referral based hiring system. For example let us say that Joe’s coffee shop has put out an ad in the paper and online that they are hiring. Well Joe is looking for family members or close friends that he trusts, more so over the general population. He wants to have someone that he trusts that was close to him and that he can watch.

The thought is unless you have a Bachelors, MBA, Doctrine, or some other major degree or license, or are a very skilled tradesman, etc…, you will not make more than $30-50k a year. This is not completely true. Lets look at some ideas people have used to make that kind of money without those degrees, and or money.

Myself for instance, I took approximately $100 and started a mobile auto detailing business, that within a year was locally recognized by the newspapers and the mayor. My father took about 2k to start a plumbing company and has made millions in doing so, has been on Oprah for it, has worked on many of celebrities, and news icons, and millionaires homes.

My buddy started and internet marketing site, with around 2k and has been making consistently 12-20k a month. None of us at the point of time when we started our businesses out had money, nor degrees and all have made at least million dollars in our lifetime so far. Take a look a Donald Trump, he had no money when starting his empire, in fact it is said that he was very persuasive to investors in telling them he had things going, when in fact he did not. Bill Gates, a high school kid who he, and a couple others started messing around with what is now windows.

Bill Gates pulled a similar move that Donald Trump did. This was telling investors that he had a product when in fact he did not.
Why is it so hard to make $100k a year? It is simple people do not have the passion nor desire to struggle to make it happen nor the skill most of the time. As well as just being lazy. People again want money to fall into their laps without working for it, and unless your life starts out that way, or you win the lottery, or publishers clearing house its not going to happen
